One of our favorite LI-DOG Pack Walks™ and events of the season is back the weekend of April 12th and 13th when Old Westbury Gardens opens the grounds of this beautiful estate to people with dogs for their Dog-Friendly Weekend!

Starting at 11 a.m. on Sunday, April 13th, please join us for an LI-DOG Pack Walk™ as we spend an hour on a guided walk of the beautiful, English-themed splendor of Old Westbury Gardens. There’ll be plenty of spring’s flowering treasures for our eyes and our fur babies’ noses to enjoy!

Our walk is almost all on flat ground and there are opportunities to shorten the walk for those who wish to do so. Make sure to bring poop bags–as clean-up is a must! — and bring your camera as there are many great photo opportunities on the grounds.

Our LI-DOG Pack Walk™ takes place during Old Westbury Gardens’ Dog-Friendly Weekend. On Saturday, April 12th, OWG hosts its Spring Dog Festival with booths and exhibits from rescues, animal advocacy organizations, and vendors of doggie goodies and gear. The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the 12th.

On Sunday, the 13th, Old Westbury Gardens welcomes pups again as part of their Dog-Friendly Weekend with the same hours as Saturday. Also on Sunday, LI-DOG will set up our booth and lead an LI-DOG Pack Walk™ around the grounds of the estate.

Please make sure to register for our LI-DOG Pack Walk™—it’s free! Just look for our blue tent to sign in. Registrants for the Pack Walk will have the opportunity to donate to LI-DOG for a chance to win a raffle basket full of doggie toys and treats. Proceeds support LI-DOG’s work to gain more access to public parks and beaches for Long Island dog owners and their dogs.

Dogs must be on-leash at all times when visiting the Gardens and are not allowed in any buildings on the grounds. Please no retractable leashes when on the Pack Walk as the dogs may become entangled.

Dogs are NOT allowed in the Walled Garden and please do not let them trample the beautiful daffodils.

Except for Old Westbury Gardens members and library pass holders, all entrance tickets to the Gardens must be purchased in advance through their website. OWG members simply need to show their membership card upon arrival.

OWG admission fees are $18 for adults; $15 for adults 62 years and over and full-time students with a valid ID; and $8 for children ages 7-17. OWG members, children 6 and under, and four-legged visitors are free!
