A Virtual Event

Saturday, September 26th, Any Time – Any Location

On September 26th, Pet Partners will be holding the World’s Largest Pet Walk. It is their signature fundraiser, and is open to everyone who wants to enjoy the health benefits of being active with their pets, while also supporting Pet Partners!

Join the walk! Since this is a “virtual event”, you and your pets are invited to walk at any time and location on Saturday, September 26th. Walk whatever distance and path that feels right for you and your animal.

Pet Partners is the national leader in demonstrating and promoting the health and wellness benefits of animal-assisted interventions. Their teams visit with patients in recovery, people with intellectual disabilities, seniors living with Alzheimer’s, students, veterans with PTDS and those approaching end of life–improving human health and well-being through the human-animal bond. They are considered the “gold standard” in the world because of their ongoing testing and retesting of the owner and the dog every two years.

While most people will be walking on September 26th, if this day does not work for you, pick any day in September that would work best for you and your furry friend.

There is no registration fee to walk, but please invite supporters to donate in honor of your participation using your online fundraising page. Raise at least $50 to receive a special pet bandanna! Raise $100 or more to receive the bandanna plus a commemorative event T-shirt! And super fundraisers who raise $250 or more receive all of these items, plus a Pet Partners leash.

Then please join us at Mud Creek Off-Leash Beach in East Patchogue on Saturday, July 18th for a couple of hours, letting our furry friends frolic in the sand and surf of the Great South Bay! There’ll be plenty of exercise to be had running along the coastline and in the water as Mud Creek is an off-leash dog beach.

A clean-up of the Mud Creek Off-Leash Beach will start at 8:30 a.m., so if you and your fur baby would like a little extra time in the sun, please join us in getting the area ready for our meetup!

PLEASE NOTE: Mud Creek has no amenities and is considered “carry-in, carry-out” (i.e. no trash receptacles, no poop bag stations, no bathrooms and no water fountains). To access the dog beach, please use the double-gate entry, walk along the fence, then turn right onto the beach as soon as the fence ends. Please keep off-leash dogs out of the area in front of the fence.

Parking is on the street. Please keep dogs on-leash until you get into the off-leash area.
