Leash up your pup and join us at Rita’s of Oceanside for a summer puppy party at the 4th Annual LI-DOG “Pups and Popsicles™” Ice Cream Social Saturday July, 14th! Enjoy delicious and refreshing Rita’s ices and custard then join in on the fun!
There will be many fun games with chances to win some exciting prizes for both people and pups. Spin the prize wheel, test your skill at the “bone bag” toss, and take a chance at winning one of the many raffle baskets. Pups (and people!) come dressed in your favorite summer outfits and pose for pictures in front of our beautiful dog park back drop. Don’t know what to wear? Find your perfect summer accessories for some fun in front of the camera at the photo booth.

This is a fund raising event to benefit LI-DOG – The Long Island Dog Owner’s Group. Learn about LI-DOG and our efforts to create dog parks and increase access to parkland and beaches for dog owners and their pets. Find out how you can help with the campaign for a dog park and on-leash walking trails in the Oceanside area.
We will also be collecting pet food and supplies to benefit The Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter. Please bring donations to help the shelter animals.
LI-DOG, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based on Long Island, works to create off-leash dog parks and increase access to parkland and beaches for Long Island dog owners and their dogs. Too many dogs are given up to shelters because owners cannot provide them with adequate exercise and socialization. Since 1998 LI-DOG has met with elected officials and has been successful with the creation of 10 new dog parks and dozens of new dog-friendly walking trails in parks throughout Long Island.
Please be aware that dogs must remain leashed on non-retractable leads at all times.
