Leash up your pup and join us on the beautiful waterfront at Off Key Tikki Bar & Grill in Patchogue for the LI-DOG Surf’s Up Summer Pawty! Enjoy beautiful views, a great BBQ, tropical drinks, live music, contests, raffles, and lots of fun for the pups!

There will be many fun games with chances to win exciting prizes for both people and pups.  Participate in the “Biggest Lap Dog” contest – always a fan favorite! Pups can also “Hang Ten” on surfboards for the “Surf’s Up” Photo Contest. Pups (and people): Be sure to come decked out in your favorite summer outfits and pose for memorable summer photos at the surf hut. Visit the raffle table to take a chance at winning one of the many great raffle baskets and prizes generously donated by our sponsors.

Sit and take in the views as you enjoy hamburgers and hot dogs off the grill–complements of Off-Key Tikki—listen to summer jams, and sip delicious tropical drinks. Truly a special day to spend with your dogs!

NOTE: Advanced ticket sales are closed. You may buy tickets at the door for $20 per person (dogs are free!).

This is a fundraising event to benefit LI-DOG – The Long Island Dog Owners Group. Donations support LI-DOG’s work to get more access to parks and beaches for Long Island dog owners and their pups.

Spend some time at the beach with Fido and the great folks of LI-DOG for some OFF-LEASH summer fun!

Please join us at Mud Creek Off-Leash Beach in East Patchogue on Saturday, July 28th for a couple of hours letting our furry friends frolic in the sand and surf of the Great South Bay!

There’ll be plenty of exercise to be had running along the coastline or in the water as Mud Creek is an off-leash dog beach. A clean-up of the Mud Creek Off-Leash Beach will start at 8:30 a.m., so if you and your fur baby would like a little extra time in the sun, please join us in getting the area ready for our meetup!

Water will be provided for humans and dogs. Bring your own towel and beach chairs!

PLEASE NOTE: Mud Creek is a natural borders dog park, which means it is not fenced on most sides. For everyone’s safety, please only bring dogs that are well-socialized—used to playing with other dogs off-leash—and that will reliably come when called. Please NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES.

Mud Creek has no amenities and is considered “carry-in, carry-out” (i.e. no trash receptacles, no poop bag stations, no bathrooms and no water fountains). LI-DOG will have extra water and poop bags on hand, but please help us make the event a success by remembering to bring these items.

Parking is on the street and there is a narrow path to the water by the sign for Mud Creek Park.

PLEASE NOTE: In May, a chain-link fence was installed to create a “dog-exclusion” zone. To access the beach, please use the narrow path to the water by the sign for Mud Creek Park and walk dogs ON-LEASH through the area. Please be respectful and keep OFF-LEASH dogs out of this area. Avoid using the double-gated entrance. It is still under construction and it leads to a large expanse of sand where broken glass has often been found.

RAIN DATE: Sunday July 29th at 10AM. In the event of inclement weather, please check Meetup or our Facebook group as we will post any weather-related changes by 9 AM that morning.

Summer of 2017 Gets Off to a FUN Start at

LI-DOG’s 2nd Annual Pints-n-Paws™ Luau!

LI-DOG welcomed the summer of 2017 with a puppy party on the beautiful waterfront patio of Off-Key Tikki Waterside Bar and Grill in Patchogue. The palm-tree studded venue was the perfect setting for LI-DOG’s 2nd Annual Pints-n-PawsTM Luau on Sunday afternoon, June 11th!

The event featured games, raffles, a barbeque generously donated by Off-Key Tikki, tropical drinks, a tropically-themed photo set for selfies, and music provided by Off-Key Tikki’s band plus our own MC-extraordinaire Mike Kaplow.  Even though it was a very hot day, the palm trees, umbrellas and kiddie pools kept people and pups cool and comfortable.

Many guests—human and canine—were dressed in Island attire and were greeted by Laura Paesano of Laura Pea Photography with a welcome photo by the palm trees. Our contests—Biggest Lap Dog, Silliest Dog Trick and Best Dressed Doggie and Me Margaritaville Contest–had some fierce competition as fur babies of all sizes—from tea cup to terrier to tremendous—participated.
