Look for the people and dogs gathering by the dog run at the edge of the parking lot.
LI-DOG is pleased to announce that we will be hosting our next LI-DOG Pack Walk™ at beautiful Sands Point Preserve, the 216-acre former estate of the Guggenheim family! Our Pack-Walks – guided, group on-leash dog walks – are a great way for both you and your dog to socialize, while enjoying some of Long Island’s most beautiful parks!
Please join us for the LI-DOG Pack Walk™ at Sands Point Preserve on Sat., June 19th starting at 11 AM. (Please arrive 15 minutes early, so we can start the walk on time.) The Preserve features multiple hiking trails on 200 acres of woods, beautiful lawns, a pond, fields and great views of the Long Island Sound! Please be aware that some of the trails may be a bit steep at times and have roots and rocks.
We anticipate that the Pack Walk™ will take about an hour, but there will be opportunities to make the walk shorter for those who wish to do so.
PLEASE NOTE: Dogs are NOT allowed on the beach and must remain leashed at all times. Please do not bring Flexi Leads as we’ll be walking in groups and people and dogs can get tangled. Also, please bring water and poop bags – as clean up is a must.
There is an admission charge to Sands Point Preserve of $15 per car. Admission is free for members of the Sands Point Preserve Conservancy. A pay station at the Gatehouse enables contactless payment of the admission fee with credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and cash. If paying by cash, please bring exact change. This fee helps support this beautiful dog-friendly property.

Masks are required to enter the buildings such as the bathrooms and Welcome Center. By the time of our Pack Walk, it is likely masks will not be required when walking on the trails. Please be sure to have a mask with you anyway. Also, please read the Sands Point Visitor Safety Rules posted on their website.

Weather-Related Changes: Please check our Meetup and/or Facebook Group or our website on Sat. morning around 9:30 a.m. for any weather-related notices. If there is no notice, the Pack Walk is on!
