1st Annual “Port Paws” Dog Festival

Join LI-DOG on Sat. and Sun., July 23rd and 24th for the first-ever “Port Paws” Dog Festival and DockDogs® aquatic competition in Port Jefferson Village. Besides watching the competition, you’ll also find: canine vendors like LI-DOG, food trucks, activities for canines and kids, music and more! Harbor Pet and Greenport Harbor Brewing Company have joined paws to bring DockDogs® to the North Fork by co-hosting the first annual North Fork Dock Diving Pet Expo and Fundraiser. DockDogs® is the largest and most diversified presenter of dock diving Dog Performance Sports in the world.

Champion Dock Diving Dogs from Long Island and the Tri-State area will be making a big splash! Dog owners that are interested in trying this aquatic dog sport are encouraged to come and let their dogs try it out as well. Dogs that love to swim and have high toy drive are best suited. Throughout the day there will be competitions for novice and seasoned dock divers to enter.

But, as long as your dog is well-behaved and leashed, he or she is welcome to come, keep his paws dry, and cheer on his furry friends competing!

Blue Buffalo is the presenting sponsor for the North Fork Dog Dock Diving Festival. The weekend event will benefit three different local organizations:

North Fork Welfare Animal League (NFWAL) of Southold, NY

Burton Potter Post (div. of American Legion) of Greenport, NY

Canine Companions for Independence (CCI)

Pre-registrants will pay $27 per team (dog and handler), per event. Registrants on the day of the event will pay $30 per team, per event.
