Stay as busy as you like with dog-centered classes, DOGA (yes, yoga with your dog), swimming, hiking, indoor and outdoor dining, and nightly entertainment. Or simply relax in either Gettysburg near a private lake or in the Catskills in the dog-friendly pool. Enjoy the company of dogs and other dog lovers. You may not have time to venture away from the resorts, but just in case, there are nearby attractions and activities too. Canine Camp Getaway is a one-of-a-kind vacation geared to dog lovers and their dogs. Both facilities are totally dog-friendly—dining and Happy Hours with your dog and days filled with activities you can share with your pup including hiking, agility, swimming, Frisbee, lure coursing, rally, Bingo, and costume contests! In addition, there are classes on lots of topics including Canine CPR, Ask the Vet/Ask the Trainer, and more! The venues, while different, are both people friendly too; Gettysburg has a few more amenities, while East Durham emphasizes an unplugged, laid-back feel.
Fees range from $950 to $1,500 per person in Gettysburg and $825 to $1,175 in East Durham, depending on accommodations. Full rates include meals, accommodations, and all dog activities.
