LI-DOG Pack WalkTM at Blydenburgh Park
Sat., June 24th, 10 AM
Blydenburgh County Park
Veterans Memorial Hwy., Smithtown, NY (Google Map)

Join LI-DOG on Sat., June 24th for one of our popular LI-DOG Pack WalksTM – a group on-leash dog walk–in beautiful Blydenburgh County Park in Smithtown. This 627-acre Suffolk County Park boasts not only a large dog park, but miles of dog-friendly walking trails. The main loop trail around Stump Pond in the center of the park is six miles long, but for our LI-DOG Pack Walk™ on June 24th, we’ll scope out a shorter, 45 minute or hour-long walk for everyone and their dogs. The trail is mostly flat, dirt or sand, and well-shaded by trees.

Please be aware that there can occasionally be horses on the trail, especially in the more northern sections of the park. In any case, dogs must be kept on leash at all times and, of course, be picked up after. Also, while there is water available in the dog park, you may want to bring water for you and your dog on the trail.

Please note: All dogs are required to have proof of rabies vaccination (photo of certificate on your phone).

Meet us on the big field next to the Blydenburgh Dog Park to start our Pack Walk!

Please note: There is a $15 per vehicle parking fee ($7 for Suffolk County residents with valid Green Key Cards) to get into the park at this time of year. The parking fee is in effect from Memorial Day to Labor Day during the day on weekends. For more information about Suffolk Green Key Cards, go to SC Parks Fee & Program Schedule 2017.

Once you’ve paid at the entrance gate, follow the signs straight north for the Dog Park. The road will turn into a dirt road a few hundred feet before you get to the parking area for the dog park.

As always, check our website, Facebook or Meetup group Fri. night or Sat. morning around 9 a.m. for any weather-related changes.
