Plainview-Old Bethpage Public Library
999 Old Country Rd., Plainview

This Spring we’ve seen trails open to leashed dogs in parks that have been closed to Long Island dog owners and their pups for years—Eisenhower Park, Christopher Morley, Michael J. Tully Park, and more. Our campaigns are blossoming! Our work, however, is not done; come to the LI-DOG Meeting and find out how you can help. There are still many Long Island parks—and way too many beaches—that don’t allow our canine companions at all. Our goal is to get access to local parks and beaches, so we can enjoy Long Island’s beautiful natural resources just like every other family on Long Island. We’re making progress, but we need your help to work on new initiatives and bring our current campaigns home.
Plus, we want to hear from you! Are there parks or beaches that you think would make good on-leash or off leash areas; join us at the LI-DOG meeting and let us hear? Also, are you interested in dog-friendly events? We’ll have details about lots of upcoming events—Pack Walks, our Pints-n-Paws Luau, a Dog Day at the Beach and more.
Please join us on May 19th and find out how together we can make it happen!
