North Shore Animal League of America, the world’s largest animal rescue and adoption organization, hosts the grand finale to their Walk & Wag National Fundraising Challenge with an in-person walk at Garvies Point in Glen Cove on Sun., Oct. 19th!  Register your family, friends and, of course, you and your Pup for this dog-friendly event.

There will be music and tasty food available. In addition, you will find a Paw Plaza which will feature local vendors, treats, as well as animal services from NSAL’s own Pet Health Centers.

This is also the place for anyone who wants to welcome another furry friend into their lives! The Animal League’s state-of-the-art adoption mobile unit will be on hand with both puppies and kittens available.

NSAL, the world’s largest, most comprehensive no-kill rescue and adoption organization, is headquartered in Port Washington, N.Y. with 2,000 shelter partners across the country and around the globe. They conduct local, national, international, puppy mill and emergency rescues. They respond to calls from shelter and rescue groups that are forced to euthanize animals as a means of population control, and they respond to the cries of many dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens in peril who count on their dedicated staff and volunteers to save their lives.
