How to find us: Take Southern State Parkway Exit 18. We will be at the northern end of Lot #1, which is the first lot on the right.
LI-DOG is pleased to announce that we will be hosting our final LI-DOG Pack Walk™ of the 2024 season at beautiful Hempstead Lake State Park, a 737-acre state park located in West Hempstead: one of three state parks within the Town of Hempstead. The park contains the largest freshwater lake, Hempstead Lake, in Nassau County.
Please join us for our LI-DOG Pack Walk™, on Sat., November 23rd starting at 10:30 a.m. We will be walking the North Loop Trail within the park. The trail has recently been restored and is flat and easy. Hopefully Mother Nature will be kind and some of the leaves will still be displaying their beautiful fall colors, making our walk in the woods even more special.
We anticipate that the total Pack Walk™ will cover about 2 miles and take about an hour, but there will be an opportunity to make the walk shorter for those who wish to do so. Our Pack Leaders will be happy to point it out for anyone who asks.
Please be aware that dogs must remain leashed AT ALL TIMES on the Pack Walk™. Please also make sure to bring water for your dog and poop bags–as clean-up is a must! Also, no retractable leashes as we’ll be walking as a group and people and dogs can get tangled.
Please arrive 15 minutes early so you can sign in (it’s free) and we can start on time.
