There is nothing more disturbing to animal lovers then to hear about the abuse of helpless animals. Fortunately, there is something you can do to help right here on Long Island!

You can join the Nassau County SPCA Animal Abuse Awareness Parade. Registration is at 10:30 a.m. The walk starts promptly at 11:00 AM and ends with an adoption event at the Village Green. There will be pet friendly vendors, raffles, giveaways and tons of fun for everyone. Your dog is welcome but must be on a leash.

There is a $20.00 registration fee for the walk, which helps support the Nassau SPCA. Swag bags for your dog or cat are included for every registered walker.

Located in Nassau County, NY, The Nassau County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting animals in the County from abuse and neglect. They are also devoted to the rescue, care and placement of needy animals.

For additional information about the parade and adoption event, call 516-576-2921.
