Even our canine friends love a good Halloween party and Nassau Barkfest is guaranteed to be spook-tacular fun for both dogs and people! Dress up your furry friend in his or her Halloween finest — pretty, silly, scary or downright ghostly — and join the parade. Costume judging will begin at 2:30 pm and prizes will be awarded.  LI-DOG, rescue groups and other animal-friendly organizations will be there to help celebrate. All pets must be on a leash and, as always, picked up after.

Sponsored by the Nassau County SPCA and Long Island’s K98.3 radio station, admission is FREE, but all participants are asked to bring a donation of pet food for families who are facing difficult financial times and need help feeding their pets.

For more information about Nassau Barkfest, call 516-315-6686 or email KGrilliRobles@PDCN.org.

We hope to see you and your dogs–in costume!–at Nassau Barkfest on the 28th.
