LI-DOG Pack Walk™ at Coffin Woods Preserve!
Sat., April 23rd, 10 AM – Noon
90 Oyster Bay Road, Locust Valley, NY
How to find us: Look for the group of people and dogs by the trailhead.
Please join us for our first-ever LI-DOG Pack Walk™ at Coffin Woods Preserve, part of the North Shore Sanctuaries in Locust Valley! The preserve has nothing to do with anything creepy. It’s named after Charles A. Coffin, the first president of the General Electric Company, who originally owed the land.
On our April Pack Walk™, we’ll be walking on the 2.10-mile loop trail. The trail, which is popular for hiking, trail running and walking, is generally considered an easy route and takes an average of 59 min to complete. Those who wish to shorten the walk can simply turn around and walk back the way we came.
Please be aware that we may encounter off-leash dogs in the park, however, dogs participating in the LI-DOG Pack Walk™ must remain leashed at all times. Please also make sure to bring poop bags–as clean-up is a must! Also, no retractable leashes as we’ll be walking as a group and people and dogs can get tangled.
Please arrive 15 minutes early so you can sign in and we can start on time.
